Following an action packed day full of dramas Tim Mc Nulty and his co driver Paul Kiely lead the 2010 rally of the lakes by 1minute 46seconds from the Subaru of Denis Cronin/Helen O Sullivan, Alastair Fisher/Rory Kennedy lead group N.West limerick man Eamon Daly/Brian Doherty 8th O/A and 3rd group N. In the National section Phil Collins leads from Barry Meade and Limerick crew Ed O Callaghan/ Ger Clancy a fine 3rd O/A.

Callaghan on track for killarney
Limerick Motor Club crew Ed O Callaghan and Ger Clancy are all set for a maximun attack on this weekends Rally of the Lakes. After finishing a fine 6th overall in the recent west cork rally the lads felt it was safer to give the car a once over Tom Casey had the engine in his workshop and all was well, so late last night engine was taken to George Crozier who is now fitting engine and giving it the finishing touches. Callaghan is sure to give the spectators a weekend of hight speed action and momentarily sideways action.
Danaher to 00 in Killarney
The West Limerick crew John Danaher and Keith Curley will take 00 duties on a few stages on this weekends Rally of the Lakes.This will be Johns second outing in the gleaming white BMW M3 Compact. Having just completed an engine rebuild since the disappointment of retiring with low oil pressure in last years Circuit of Munster while lying 3rd in class after 4 stages on just the first outing in the car. The car is now singing with over 300bhp after some fine tuning in the college in cork .
Maguire wins on home turf
The Monaghan duo of Niall Maguire and Enda Sherry driving a Subaru WRC win the 2010 Monaghan Stages Rally with a 26 second lead ahead of their closest rival Derek McGarrity/James McKee and Melvyn Evans/Patrick Walsh third. Gary McPhillips/Mark Tierney take the 2wd honours and a fantastic fourth overall . Manus Kelly/Donal Barrett take a fine 5th overall following their disappointment in the recent Circuit Of Kerry. Sam Moffett / Domhnall Lennon win Group N.
Time trials and sprints round up
Last weekend saw various time trial and rally sprints around the country Wesley Patterson won the North Armagh Rally time trial in his well known Mk2 escort, and Mitsubishi topped the charts in Tipperary at the Carrick on Suir Sprint with Liam Ryan behind the wheel and in Tynagh Martin Tracey took honours also in his evo.

Keith and Greg bring home British Rally Championship
Newly crowned British Rally champions Keith Cronin and Greg Shinnors received their award Sat night at the Park Royal Hotel near Warrington….Well done lads. Cork man Derry O Brien will navigate for Keith on the Kerry (Banna) Mini Stages rally Sunday week this was a prize organised by Cronin supporters club. Keith and Greg are also entered in Rally of Scotland 19-21st Nov in a Fiat Abarth S2000 will be interested to see Keith competing against IRC regulars Kris Meeke, Jan Kopecky and Freddy Loix.
